Board of the AI Office of Ireland meets for its inaugural meeting

Today, the Board of the AI Office of Ireland met for its inaugural meeting.

The Office has an important role to play as the central coordination authority for the implementation of the EU AI Act in Ireland; promoting responsible AI innovation, and providing a focal point for engagement with industry, the public, academia and wider society.

As AI technologies continue to evolve, effective governance and stakeholder engagement will be critical to ensuring that Ireland can realise the opportunities AI presents while maintaining trust.
