This Social Media Policy provides an overview of the social media channels used by the AI Office of Ireland. It outlines what you can expect from these accounts, and how we interact with audiences.

Our social media presence is managed by the AI Office.  We continuously monitor these social media channels, and other social media channels for effectiveness, suitability and opportunities to communicate better with our audiences. We may decide to open new social media accounts or remove accounts.

What to expect

Content

On our social media accounts you can expect to see:

  • information relevant to Artificial Intelligence

  • news stories and press releases

  • facts and figures relevant to Artificial Intelligence

  • speeches and statements from the AI Office of Ireland

  • photos and videos from events

  • live streaming of events

  • consultations and publications

  • emergency communications, for example, during extreme weather events

  • other relevant content

Following and sharing

The AI Office of Ireland may follow accounts which are of relevance to its work. If the AI Office of Ireland follows another social media account, it does not imply an endorsement of any kind.

Content shared or liked by the AI Office of Ireland does not imply any endorsement of the original message, the individual or the organisation. If you follow an AI Office of Ireland social media account, we will not automatically follow you back.

Posts from other accounts which are directed at AI Office of Ireland accounts do not represent the views of the AI Office or of government.

Please do not include personal or private information in your posts or messages to us.

Moderation and feedback

We welcome comments and feedback from users. AI Office of Ireland does not however, accept responsibility for third-party content.

The AI Office of Ireland reserves the right to delete comments and report accounts that:

  • contain abusive, obscene, indecent or offensive language, or link to obscene or offensive material

  • are not relevant to the content posted

  • impersonate the AI Office of Ireland in any way

  • constitute spam or promote or advertise products

  • are designed to cause nuisance to the page administrator or other users

For serious or persistent breaches of the moderation policy, we reserve the right to prevent users from posting further comments and will block accounts.

We welcome feedback and reserve the right to join conversations where possible. We may not reply individually to all messages received through social media platforms.

Availability

We regularly update and monitor our social media accounts during normal office hours, Monday to Friday (not including public holidays). We may update and monitor the accounts outside of these hours.  Social media platforms may occasionally be unavailable, and we accept no responsibility for lack of service.
