Health Services Executive

The Health Service Executive (HSE) is Ireland's public health and social care provider. It is responsible for delivering health and social care services across Ireland and is funded by the Government through the Department of Health.

 The Health Service Executive is designated as the market surveillance authority in respect of the EU AI Act as set out in:

• Annex III 5(a) insofar as those [high-risk] AI systems listed relate to access to essential public healthcare services and benefits and

• Annex III 5(d) insofar as those [high-risk] AI systems listed are used in relation to public emergency healthcare.
